The Community Foundation launched the first Shape of the Region Conference in 2018 to share newly launched data trends that impact the Northern Virginia region’s strategic economic growth. The half-day event has grown in scope, and has become a platform to discuss economic mobility, income inequality, and increased opportunity for our region each year.
The 2020 event, to be held on Thursday, March 12th, will be presented in partnership with the Asian American Chamber of Commerce, George Mason University, Northern Virginia Black Chamber of Commerce, Northern Virginia Chamber of Commerce, Northern Virginia Community College, Northern Virginia Regional Commission, Northern Virginia Technology Council, the NOVA Hispanic American Chamber, and Virginia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. Its theme is: The Economic Case for Inclusivity.
